WHAT'S HAPPENING IN AND AROUND OXFORD

March 20 - March 27

Many of our community's regularly-scheduled events have now been cancelled due to restrictions put in place to control the spread of COVID-19 in our region. Let's make the most of this time!

Get ready for summer!

What seeds to start indoors now:  broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, tomatoes, chard

Chores: Clean up the garden, put the snow shovels away (maybe!), store the driveway salt, rake up the tree branches (burn ban is in place, so don’t do a burn, please), sweep walkways, get the porch furniture out and cleaned up, get birdhouses ready

Stay fit!

Ways to move inside:  yoga, stationary bike, stretching, move the furniture and try a few cartwheels

Ways to move outside: hike the Finger Lakes Trail, bike, look for wildflowers in bloom and bring a few in for a vase

Create beauty:  get out your watercolors (or whatever you use—collage, mandalas, mosaics, pottery), paint the trim on a few doors/windows to brighten up your space,

Stay connected!

Check in with folks:  call, email, text, send a video link and watch so you can discuss with each other

Check out Market vendor updates and see if you can use some of their offerings: schedule a pick-up or drop off

Eat together: Get take-out from local restaurants or make dinner together in the kitchen and sit down to a candle-lit family meal
